STEP ONE:
Schedule your session
In order to reserve your date, you’ll sign some paperwork, fill out a short questionnaire to give me some extra info on your family, and pay a $350 session fee, all of which you’ll be able to do easily online.
The session fee covers all of the preparation I’m going to walk you through to get you ready for your session, the time spent at the session itself, and all of the selection and editing of your final images after the session.
As soon as you’re officially on the books, I’ll send you a detailed guide that I’ve put together that goes through all my best recommendations for how to prepare for the session – I promise it’s nothing too crazy, just some helpful tips and answers to the most common questions I get about things like what to wear and what you need to have on hand. Of course, if you have more specific questions I’m always happy to chat.
STEP TWO:
The Session Itself
A couple of days before the session I’ll be in touch to confirm our time and location — and at that time, if we’re scheduled for an outdoor session and the weather looks bad, we’ll figure out a backup plan, or if someone is sick, we’ll start talking about that. This is a good time to make sure we’re all on the same page and answer any last minute questions.
Most of my families choose to have their session at home, but if you prefer something out and about, I’m open to that as well.
The day of the session, please block off two to two-and-a-half hours. Typically we’re done in 90 minutes, but I don’t charge by the hour, so if there’s a wardrobe malfunction or meltdown I like to stay flexible.
Finally, take a breath and relax! I promise to give kids (and grownups!) breaks throughout the session and to make it all as fun and painless as possible!
STEP THREE:
Enjoy Your Images!
A couple of weeks after your session, you’ll receive an email from me with a link to a slideshow that includes all your fully-edited images. Once you’ve had a chance to see them and relive all the fun moments from the session, you’ll let me know which collection you want to purchase. This allows you to view the images first and then make a purchase decision based on your budget and needs.
Once you’ve purchased your collection, you’ll have a full month to download your photos and shop your gallery store with your print credit.
